The constant current (CC) charging phase (also known as the fast charging phase) is typically dependent on the battery's voltage threshold. the MP2731 is unique in that it defines its fast charging phase as the time interval during which the battery voltage exceeds the pre-charge threshold and is less than its constant voltage charging threshold. During the first fast charge phase, the battery FET charges the battery with a fast charge stream. Once the battery voltage exceeds the new threshold, the battery FET is considered fully energized.
