Introduction to safety regulations of power adapter

Apr 19, 2022

Here, I will briefly introduce the safety regulations of power adapter. First of all, we should understand the following three questions

First: what is the power adapter safety regulation?

Safety regulations are safety specifications. At present, they are the specifications that electronic products must maintain and abide by in the design. The purpose of safety regulations is to protect and maintain the personal safety of consumers. Under the condition of convenient use of electronic products, electronic products cannot cause harm to consumers. Even if electronic products and power chargers have been scrapped, they will not bring danger to users. Safety regulation is to design electronic products according to safety specifications to make electronic products more safe.

The purpose of safety regulations is to prevent product users from causing fire, electric shock, radiation, chemical, mechanical and thermal injuries when using products!

Second: why should safety certification be carried out?

Now many countries require that electronic and electrical products exported to their own countries must pass safety certification and have corresponding safety marks. On the contrary, if not, it cannot be carried out to its market and will be detained by the customs. Therefore, safety certification is necessary.

Certification is divided into compulsory certification and non compulsory certification. Compulsory certification includes CE, BS, GS, CCC, etc. non compulsory certification includes TUV GS, etc. non compulsory certification does not have the requirements of compulsory certification, but it is to protect the life safety of consumers.

Third: what is the significance of applying for safety regulation certification?

1. Effective measures to implement standards and relevant safety regulations.

2 . Reduce personal safety and property damage

3. Improve the competitiveness of products in the international market

4. Effective means to eliminate technical barriers

EU CE certification

CE is the French abbreviation of "commune europene", which means European Community and the authoritative technical standard in the European market. Only products with "CE" mark can be sold in EU countries!

UL FCC mark

UL is short for Underwriter Laboratories Inc. UL safety testing institute is the most authoritative organization in the United States and a large non-governmental organization engaged in safety testing and appraisal in the world. It is an independent, profit-making professional organization that does experiments for public safety.

The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio, television, telecommunications, satellites and cables. Involving more than 50 states, Colombia and regions of the United States, in order to ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property

China CCC certification

In April 2001, the State Council decided to merge the State Administration of quality and technical supervision with the State Administration of entry exit inspection and quarantine to form the State Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as AQSIQ). The new compulsory product certification system was implemented on May 1, 2002. In accordance with China's WTO commitments and the principle of reflecting national treatment, the state uses unified marks for compulsory product certification.

According to the relevant documents of the national compulsory product certification (3C certification), since May 1, 2003, 132 products of 19 categories listed in the first batch of 3C certification catalogue can not be sold, imported or used in business activities without obtaining 3C mark.

Korean KC certification

This is the safety certification mark designated by South Korea since 2009, in order to enable consumers to clearly understand the certification mark of products!

Japan PSE certification

PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan to prove that motor and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of Japanese electrical and raw material safety law (Denan law) or international IEC standards. Japan's dentorl law (electrical equipment and material control law) stipulates that 498 products entering the Japanese market must pass PSE safety certification. Among them, 165 kinds of class a products shall obtain the rhombic PSE mark, and 333 kinds of class B products shall obtain the circular PSE mark.

SAA / c-tick certification in Australia and New Zealand

Australian standards and New Zealand Standards are basically consistent with IEC (at present, 33.3% of Australian standards are completely consistent with national standards). There are some national differences. For example, due to the geographical location, the standards of some products (such as fans) must be considered according to the tropical climate. Australia and New Zealand promote the unification of standards and mutual recognition of certification. Products can be sold in another country as long as they have obtained the certification of one country
