1. The charging control methods of lead-acid battery and lithium battery charger are different
Lithium battery charging control is to charge according to the constant current first, and then when the battery voltage rises to 4.2V, the voltage will not rise. The charger detects the current. If the current is less than a certain value, the charging will end.
Lithium battery is sensitive to overcharge, so the protection circuit is complex. The maximum charging rated voltage of a single nominal 3.6V battery is 4.2V, and the upper limit of allowable error is no more than 1%.
The ideal charging current of lead-acid battery is pulse type. Pulse charging is the best one with direct rectification and unfiltered pulsating DC charging of 50-60Hz mains power supply (this is based on the practice of simple circuit and low cost).
Because the self discharge rate of lead-acid battery is relatively large, when power frequency charging is adopted, the charging mode of constant voltage is generally used (it will certainly have limited current).
2. Different charging characteristics:
Lithium ion batteries have high requirements for chargers and need to protect circuits, so lithium battery chargers usually have high control precision and can charge lithium-ion batteries with constant current and constant voltage.
The lead-acid battery charger has a wide range of charging voltage and battery capacity, anti overcharge due to power saturation, automatic short-circuit protection, high safety factor, small heat, high efficiency and no damage to the battery.
3. Different battery protection:
For lithium battery charger, if the charger works in the state of lithium battery and charges Ni MH or Ni battery, the battery will not be fully charged, which will greatly shorten the working time.
If the charger works in the state of nickel battery and charges the lithium-ion battery, the lithium-ion battery will be overcharged, which will seriously affect the service life of the battery.
The lead-acid battery charger is not afraid of short circuit, wrong connection, short circuit, overload and overcurrent. It is fully automatic reverse connection protection, with high safety factor and low thermal efficiency. Fully protect the normal use of the battery from damage due to the quality problem of the charger.
